This is the storefront of the vintage car repair shop from week 17, with a late 80s/early 90s Rolls Royce Silver Spirit parked out front basking in the neon lights. Neon and old school British luxury sure bring up thoughts of unmitigated class shamelessness & Gordon Gecko’s ‘Greed is Good’ maxim. These cars are designed for the owner to *ride* in rather than drive themselves, integrating class disparity into their very design. Apparently Jeff Bezos is about to become a trillionaire in the middle of this devastating disaster and Bill Gates is begging his billionaire buddies to chip in to help. Greed is not good, and a society cannot operate on the undemocratic benevolence of scions. That said, a vintage Rolls is less expensive (to buy, to run... 😬) than most lockdown protestors pickup trucks, so let that be food for thought...
